I’m getting some reports of Sponsored Posts<\/strong> showing up again for some people so it might mean Facebook is testing out some new code.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

If this is affecting you, as mentioned on the FB Purity FAQ page<\/a>; FB Purity has a back-up method for blocking “Sponsored Posts<\/strong>“, for when the actual Hide Sponsored Posts option doesn’t work. FBP’s hide ‘Posts from Pages that you haven”t “Liked”‘<\/strong> option, which is located under the “Link \/ Page Posts<\/strong>” heading on the FBP options screen, will hide posts from any Pages you haven’t “liked”, which means it will hide Sponsored Posts from Pages you haven’t liked.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A side effect of this option is it will also hide posts from Pages you have only “followed” but not “liked”. If you use this option and you have “followed” some pages but not “liked” them, and want to continue seeing those posts, one way to do so is to view the “Pages Feed<\/strong>” which you can select via the Newsfeed drop-down menu at the top left of the Newsfeed.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
