It is now turned off by default as people were sometimes clicking it by accident when they wanted to click the &#8220;Share&#8221; button.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Added<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Top Picks in Marketplace<\/strong>&#8221; box to the hide &#8220;<strong>Marketplace<\/strong>&#8221; left column link option (located under the &#8220;<strong>Left Column Links<\/strong>&#8221; heading on the FBP options screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New<\/strong> hide left column link option &#8220;<strong>2018 Election<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Added<\/strong> hiding old &#8220;<strong>Friend Requests<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Friend Suggestions<\/strong>&#8221; that started showing in the Newsfeed as newsfeed posts, to the hide &#8220;<strong>People You May Know<\/strong>&#8221; option.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixed<\/strong> hide &#8220;<strong>Graphical Smileys \/ Emoticons<\/strong>&#8221; option<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixed<\/strong> hidden &#8220;wrote on wall&#8221; triangle when the\u00a0hide &#8220;Graphical Smileys \/ Emoticons&#8221; option was turned on<\/li>\n<li><strong>New<\/strong> Automatically strips out &#8220;<strong>?fbclid<\/strong>&#8221; tracking parameter that facebook wrong headedly adds to external links<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixed<\/strong> FBP filtering on &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/seen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">facebook.com\/seen\/<\/a>&#8221; page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fixed<\/strong> Profile images on peoples Timelines were displaying circular again despite the &#8220;<strong>Bring back square profile pics<\/strong>&#8221; option being turned on. This should be fixed now.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New<\/strong>\u00a0Some people are getting a horrendous emoji\/emoticons popup above comment boxes. If you tick the hide &#8220;<strong>Graphical Smileys \/ Emoticons<\/strong>&#8221; option, as well as hiding all smileys it should also hide that bar. If you dont want to hide all smileys, but just want that bar gone, there is CSS code to hide it on the <a href=\"\/facebook-css.htm\">FBP CSS page<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Renamed<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>On This Day<\/strong>&#8221; hide left column link option to &#8220;<strong>Memories<\/strong>&#8221; as Facebook have renamed it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Known Issue:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have the hide &#8220;<strong>Stories<\/strong>&#8221; right column link option turned on, for some people it is hiding the &#8220;<strong>Newsfeed<\/strong>&#8221; option instead of the &#8220;<strong>Your Story<\/strong>&#8221; option in the Status Update box, that lets you choose either making a post to the Newsfeed or posting as a &#8220;Story&#8221;. If this is affecting you, turn off the hide &#8220;Stories&#8221; option (located under the &#8220;<strong>Hide Right Column Links<\/strong>&#8221; heading on the FBP options screen. The reason this issue is occuring is because facebook is displaying the options in reverse order for some people and not others. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fluffbustingpurity\/posts\/10156359963332559?comment_id=307458246702292\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">There is a manual CSS fix for this here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Important information regarding the \u201cMost Recent\u201d Feed and F.B. Purity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A lot of people have been complaining about Facebook\u2019s Most Recent feed and FBP\u2019s option to keep you on the \u201cMost Recent\u201d feed permanently, saying that the Most Recent feed is not in chronological order. This is because Facebook have attempted to redefine what \u201cMost Recent\u201d actually means, and to Facebook unfortunately it no longer means Chronological order. All that the FBP option \u201c<strong>News Sort: Most Recent<\/strong>\u201d does is automatically switch you back to \u201cMost Recent\u201d if it detects Facebook has switched your Newsfeed to \u201cTop Stories\u201d. FBP does have functionality for sorting the feed Chronologically, but it is not automatic, and only runs if you press the \u201c<strong>R<\/strong>\u201d key on your keyboard (<strong>R<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>Re-Sort<\/strong>), this function when initiated will sort the currently loaded posts in the Newsfeed into chronological order, if any posts load after the feed has been sorted, for instance if you scroll the page down further, then those new posts will not be in the correct order, and you will need to press the \u201c<strong>R<\/strong>\u201d key again. Other possible options for viewing posts chronologically are to try viewing the &#8220;Friends Feed&#8221;, &#8220;Friends List&#8221; feeds, and also viewing individual &#8220;Timeline&#8221; pages, as they should be sorted chronologically.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Information for Chrome Users of F.B. Purity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have installed FB Purity for Chrome, you should from then on receive automatic updates (Chrome checks for extension updates once every 5 hours). If you don&#8217;t want to wait, and know an update is available you can force an update by turning on \u201c<strong>Developer Mode<\/strong>\u201d on the Chrome extensions management page, then clicking the \u201c<strong>Update<\/strong>\u201d button at the top of the page (make sure you don\u2019t have any facebook tabs open, so Chrome can unload the existing version first).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0To let other Google Chrome users know that FBP is safe and a great way to clean up Facebook\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/fbfluffbustingpurity\/nmkinhboiljjkhaknpaeaicmdjhagpep\/reviews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Please leave a 5* review for F.B. Purity in the Google Chrome Webstore<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Important information for Firefox users of F.B. Purity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Firefox<\/strong> users who are getting the &#8220;<strong>Connection Failure<\/strong>&#8221; error when trying to install FBP, I have discovered the reason why this is happening. It is a <a href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=1308251\">known bug<\/a> in Firefox that occurs if you are using Antivirus software that monitors your web browsing. The work-around, as mentioned in the FAQ is to right click on the install button, then select save, then install the extension by dragging and dropping it on to the Firefox extension management page. This Firefox bug also prevents Firefox from automatically updating FBP when new versions are released.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Information for Microsft Edge users of F.B. Purity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FB Purity<\/strong> is now available as an official Microsoft Edge extension obtainable directly from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/store\/productid\/9MXGZZ40KDLN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Edge store<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 If you install the official Edge FBP extension from the Microsoft Edge store, it should auto-update when new versions are released in future. Be aware however that the Microsoft Store has a slow (manual) approval process for accepting extension updates, so the new version will not show up in the Microsoft Store for a day or two after I release an extension update.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0To let other Microsoft Edge users know that FBP is safe and a great way to clean up Facebook\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/store\/productid\/9MXGZZ40KDLN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Please leave a 5* review for F.B. Purity in the Microsoft Edge Store<br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Information for Opera users of F.B. Purity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The FB Purity extension for Opera is now initially installed from this site via the &#8220;Inline&#8221; install method which actually sideloads the extension from the official Opera extensions website. Once it has been installed in that manner or via the Opera extensions site itself, whenever updates to the FBP extension are uploaded and approved on the Opera extensions site (this process can take a few days after I upload an update), the version of FBP in your browser should auto-update at some point. It can sometimes be triggered by closing the browser, waiting a bit and re-opening it, there is also an &#8220;<strong>Update Extensions Now<\/strong>&#8221; button on the Opera extensions management page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Information for users of the Brave Browser<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FB Purity<\/strong> can now be easily installed in the latest release of\u00a0 the\u00a0<strong>Brave <\/strong>browser by going to the <a href=\"https:\/\/is.gd\/fbpchrome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FB Purity Chrome Webstore page<\/a> and clicking the &#8220;<strong>Add to Chrome<\/strong>&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>All other \u00a0FBP users<\/strong> can update to the latest version of FB Purity by clicking the green \u201c<strong>Install F.B.
