*** UPDATE 23rd May 2019 – Google have now re-instated F.B. Purity back into the Chrome Webstore! :) ***
For anyone wondering why its no longer possible to download the Chrome version of FB Purity, Google have unfairly removed the extension from the Google Chrome Webstore, for an absolutely ridiculous reason.
They were claiming my extension violated their policy of “Do not use irrelevant, misleading, or excessive keywords in app descriptions, titles, or metadata.”
Which it most definitely was not doing. The description, title and metadata was not excessive, not misleading and not irrelevant,
I was trying to work with them to get to the bottom of what exactly they felt was wrong with the description, but then they just removed the extension from the webstore before the matter could be resolved, which is extremely annoying and frustrating not just for me, but for all chrome users of FB Purity. I am attempting to get the extension re-instated, but knowing how Google operates, from previous experience, I know this is not going to be easy, and may even be impossible.
If you have any contacts at Google who could help resolve this, please do get in touch, cheers! Also if you have twitter, you can tweet at google via the following @google, @googledevs, @GoogleChromeDev, @googlechrome
On facebook you can post about it on the Google Chrome page, here: https://www.facebook.com/googlechrome/
FB Purity is still available for all other supported Browsers: Firefox, Opera, Safari and Edge.
